Fresh up off the bye and a few days back at home on the Gold Coast, Wests Tigers forward Bodene Thompson said that he's ready to rip in once more this weekend when the Club take on the Canberra Raiders at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Saturday, June 28.

Thompson — who is just one of five Wests Tigers players to play in every game this year – said that while the Club's last start defeat to the South Sydney Rabbitohs was disappointing, the bye came at a helpful time — allowing the group to get away and restore their focus.

"I think the bye really did come at a helpful time," reflected Thompson.

"We definitely needed to freshen up [after that loss against the Rabbitohs], and by the looks of things today, there's a good feel around the Club."

"It'll be massive to have both Robbie Farah and Aaron Woods back this week.

"You can't fault what they do on the park... it's awesome. So it'll be good to have them back and a bit more leadership in the middle, so I can't wait to play."

One of the Club's most consistent performers this season, Thompson said that he was pleased with where his form was at the moment, but emphasised he wouldn't be drawn into complacency with it at all and was always pushing to better himself.

"It's been good at the moment — just [trying] to stay injury-free and that kind of thing, really. I'm happy with my form, but in saying that, there's always room for improvement and I'm just trying to strive every week to be better and do my best for the team."

With the Club seeking to move back into the top-eight this week when they take on the Raiders, Thompson said that this week could be a defining match for their season, and urged all Wests Tigers fans and members to pack Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

"The crowd was enormous [last time we went to Campbelltown] and I hope there's another crowd like there this time to get us over the line," Thompson stated.

"It's massive to have a big crowd behind you.

"We could really feel it out there that week [against the Brisbane Broncos] and hopefully we can feel it out there this week against the Raiders."
