Wests Tigers’ NSW Cup squad will look to secure a top-four finish this year when they take on the Wentworthville Magpies in their Round 24 clash on Sunday.
With just two games remaining in the year, Paul Fletcher’s side come into the match in second position, and on the back of two confidence-boosting wins over the New Zealand Warriors and Illawarra Cutters. They’ll know that victory this weekend will confirm them as a top-four team come finals time, and they’ll no doubt be desperate to get the points this Sunday as a result of that fact.
It was a big win for Wests Tigers when these two sides met earlier in the year, but it’s worth pointing out that both sides are very different now in personnel. Mitchell Moses has moved up to first-grade for the visitors this week, while the likes of Fuifui Moimoi and Justin Hunt take the field for the Magpies.
It’s shaping as a crucial clash for these two teams — currently sitting second and third respectively — and one that could have big ramifications for the finals.
Who will walk away from Ringrose Park this week with the two points?

Coach’s Comment
“I think our boys took a lot out of last week — about the need to get through their sets and grind it out. We really have to go set-to-set with Wenty this week. They’re going to be desperate, we’ve just got to be more desperate than them…”
(Paul Fletcher, NSW Cup Head Coach)
