Wests Tigers forward Curtis Sironen spoke after his side's 22-8 trial match win over the Cronulla Sharks, saying he was pleased with the overall performance.

Sironen, who played close to the full 80 minutes on the night switching between second-row and five-eighth, said that while the match was scrappy in parts, the overall effort from the boys to come back from 8-0 down was pleasing to see on the night.

"These pre-season games are all about trying to get some match fitness up, but getting the win as well really helps that morale heading into the start of the year," Sironen said.

"Everyone got through injury-free too, which is always good.

"I'm really looking forward to two weeks now and ripping in in Round 1."
