Wests Tigers centre Tim Simona spoke after his side's Round 7 loss to the Canberra Raiders, saying the consistency shown by the team simply wasn't good enough.

Simona, who scored his third try in his past two matches, said that while there were plenty of promising attacking signs in the opening quarter of the game, the team needed to show more consistency and composure for the full 80 minutes every week.

"We sort of took our foot off the pedal in the last 10 minutes of the first half, and you just can't do that against any team in the NRL," Simona reflected.

"It's definitely something we can work on, and we really need to.

"We've got a five-day turnaround now so it's about fixing it and being right for Friday."
