Wests Tigers forward Aaron Woods says despite recent results indicating otherwise, he's more than ready for the Sydney Roosters pack on Friday night.

After a disappointing loss last weekend in the Trans-Tasman to New Zealand, the Australian international said he had moved on from that match, and was fully focused on doing his job once more for Wests Tigers against a highly-rated Roosters forward line.

"I got over that game pretty quick," said Woods. "It was disappointing.

"I was pumped to play for Australia but the way we played, we just got out enthused by the Kiwis and they were too good for us on the day.

"It's a big test now for us this week - that Roosters pack has been going really well.

"They've lost their last couple of games, but if you look at it, they've been in every one of them. They've lost by two or four points, so while they'd be frustrated they're not getting the wins, they're still playing some really good football.

"We're going to have to be on our A-game on Friday night," he enthused.

"Sam Moa had a really good game the other night [for the Kiwis] and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves was a little unlucky to miss New Zealand selection to begin with.

"Aiden Guerra's back as well, so that's a big addition to that pack.

"They've got a really good pack and I'm very excited to play them Friday night."
