Despite talk of "being under pressure", Wests Tigers young gun halfback Luke Brooks says his only focus is beating the Gold Coast Titans this weekend.

After picking up the 2014 Dally M Rookie of the Year Award last season and continuing that form with six tries and seven try-assists to start 2015, Brooks says he's happy with how his football is coming along under new systems put in place by Coach Jason Taylor, and his sole goal is on getting the right result against the Titans this coming Friday night.

"You've got to get used to people saying things about you, playing in the NRL," he said.

"Obviously people are going to say stuff about you, so you've got to not really read into it and just focus on doing your own job week in and week out.

"We're struggling a little right now... but it doesn't feel far away.

"The boys have really bought into the new structures, and I think our main priority is defence and getting that fixed up. That's been the focus and we're working hard at it."
