Wests Tigers NRL Head Coach Jason Taylor says his side are well prepared for their Round 22 clash against the Canberra Raiders on Monday night as they look to record just their second back-to-back victory in season 2015.

Coming off a strong 34-16 victory over the Melbourne Storm last week, Taylor said that he’s aware of the tough prospect that the Raiders pose at home — with close to freezing conditions expected by kickoff — but emphasised his side are more than ready for it.

“It’s been really a positive week for us,” Taylor said at his side’s final training session.

“It’s been a long week for us so it’s a good chance to get some extra work done.

“Positivity is flowing out of the boys at the moment, which is great to see.

“We know it’s going to be cold down there, and it sounds silly, but if you’re not ready for that cold, Canberra can jump out of the gates pretty quickly and put a team on the back foot by the way that they start in those conditions.

“So we’ve talked about that and tried to replicate it as much as we could. We had a night session on Friday night in Camden, but it’s just a mental thing and we’re ready for it.

“They’re a big strong team and they’re playing well, and it’s a great test.”
