Exciting Wests Tigers youngster Ryan Papenhuyzen will line-up for the Australian Schoolboys side this weekend at Suncorp Stadium.

Some of Australia’s best schoolboy talent will face the top Kiwi prospects on Sunday as the ASSRL under-18s (Australian Schoolboys) play the New Zealand under-18s.

The match, which will be a curtain raiser to the Intrust Super Cup Grand Final, will be streamed on nrl.com live from 11.55am.

“This Test series is an important part of the Rugby League calendar so it is wonderful that the wider audience will be able to see some of Australia’s finest schoolboy talent against the young New Zealand side,” said NRL General Manager League Integration and Game Development Andrew Hill.

“This game is a significant one when it comes to our elite pathways and I have no doubt we will see some outstanding talent at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday.”

This year’s Australian team was selected on performances at the Australian Schoolboys Championships in Wollongong in June.

The Second Test will be played at Wynnum Manly’s BMD Kougari Oval on Thursday, October 1 at 6.30pm. The match will also be streamed via nrl.com.
