Wests Tigers centre Tim Simona says he's preparing for Sunday's game against the Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park like it's the biggest game of the season so far.

Feeling fresh after the bye weekend, Simona said he can't wait to take to the field at AAMI Park for the first time in his career and test himself against the best in the competition.

"It's always a big challenge when you play Melbourne at home," he said. "I've never played there before but I'm looking forward to it and I'm sure the rest of the boys are too.

"We got a lot of confidence for how we played against them earlier this year.

"We didn't have a lot of players for that game and we took the best defensive team in the competition to Golden Point, so there's definitely a positive in there for us to take.

"We've got a full-strength team now and we're looking forward to the challenge.

"We've got to stay aggressive if we want to breach their defence this week.

"But for us, it starts with our defence. We've got to have good line speed and limit the time their halves have, and if we can do that, it'll really help us go a long way."
