As talk about a possible State of Origin debut continue, Wests Tigers fullback James Tedesco says he's simply letting his performances do the talking, refusing to get ahead of himself about potentially featuring for the Blues in Game III this year.

One of his side's best in a thrilling second half comeback against the Melbourne Storm last weekend, Tedesco said he was happy with his own form at the moment, and just looking to play consistent footy as the Club seeks to stay in touch with the top eight this weekend.

"Definitely feel like I'm building up to my best form," Tedesco said.

"The shoulder still felt a little sore over the last few weeks, but it's feeling good coming off the game against Melbourne, which is good.

"It's good to feel back in the swing of things.

"I'm pretty happy with where my form is at at the moment, but there's still things to get better at, and hopefully get a few more wins on the board for Wests Tigers.

"I'm just focusing on my own game [not Origin speculation]," he said.

"I'm happy with how I'm playing, so if that's good enough for a spot then I'll take it with both hands, but I'm just focusing on myself and not putting too much pressure on myself."

Off contract at the end of 2017, Tedesco said he hadn't given any thought about signing a new deal — saying his full focus remained on finishing the year strong for Wests Tigers — but said he would like to remain at the Club when discussions start to take place.

"I'm not really thinking about that at all," Tedesco said.

"I've still got a lot of time so I want to focus on finishing the year strong on the field, and then maybe start the talks at the end of the year.

"But you know, I love this Club. It's my junior Club and I've got all my best mates here so it would be a great opportunity to stay.
