Wests Tigers held the Club’s first ever Junior League Education Night last Friday at Wests Leagues Club in Campbelltown.
The evening saw 19 Clubs from the Western Suburbs and Group 6 regions join members of Wests Tigers coaching and administration staff to cover off a range of topics.
Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe spoke with the group about how to create culture in a Club, along with tips on managing staff and generating sponsorship at a range of levels.
Head Coach Jason Taylor spoke about coaching, culture and the similarities and differences from the junior league right through to the NRL.
Taylor also stressed the importance of a strong junior league in Wests Tigers’ footprint, with 10 local juniors taking to the field against the Eels on Saturday night.
The evening also featured a talk from Wests Tigers Elite Player and Development Pathways Manager Tyrone Collins. Collins provided information on the development pathways and grants and funds that junior clubs may be eligible for.
