South Sydney Rabbitohs have named their replacement for halfback Adam Reynolds ahead of Friday's season opener against Wests Tigers at ANZ Stadium.

With the incumbent Blues halfback sidelined due to appendictis to start the year, former Parramatta Eels halfback Luke Kelly will make his Club debut for the Rabbitohs.

He will partner Cody Walker in the halves to start the year for South Sydney.

Michael Maguire has also named a number of other potential debutants in his 21-man squad with Robbie Rochow, Anthony Cherrington, Robbie Farah and Braidon Burns all included.

Wests Tigers could have as many as three new faces, with Jamal Idris and Matt McIlwrick named to start, while young gun Moses Suli has been included in the 21-man squad.
