Wests Tigers Holden Cup side have gone down 18-0 in disappointing fashion to the South Sydney Rabbitohs on Friday night in their Round 10 clash at ANZ Stadium.

It was a tough night for Chris Hutchison's men who went into the half-time sheds trailing 14-0, before the Rabbitohs continued to take advantage of poor errors to emerge big winners.

Young halfback Max Burey had a promising start in his Holden Cup debut, while centre Liam Pakau showed moments of class in an disappointing effort for the home side.

In a one-sided night for the visitors, South Sydney opened the scoring after 11 minutes through Dean Hawkins, with the centre converting his own try for an early 6-0 advantage.

With Wests Tigers fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen forced off the field with injury, South Sydney doubled their lead shortly after through Campbell Graham, who scored his first try of the night.

Hawkins then added a penalty goal on the stroke of half-time to give his side a 14-0 lead.

Chris Hutchison's side were unable to turn around the deficit in the second half, with a combination of poor finishing and composure with the ball giving the Rabbitohs a reprieve.

And the visitors would ensure the home side were made to pay for their mistakes, with Graham adding his second try in the 51st minute to ensure a comfortable 18-point win.

Wests Tigers will take on the Brisbane Broncos next Friday night at Suncorp Stadium.
