Wests Tigers Head Coach Ivan Cleary gives the final word ahead of his side's Round 17 clash against the Newcastle Knights at McDonald Jones Stadium tomorrow.

After missing last week's clash with the Gold Coast Titans, Cleary confirmed that fullback James Tedesco would again miss the match with an ankle injury sustained in Origin Game II.

"James won't play — he hasn't come through from the ankle injury," he said.

"We'll keep that backline pretty similar to what it was last week.

"Kev [Naiqama] has had a few weeks at fullback now and has learned a bit each time. He's certainly familiar with the ground at Newcastle and is looking forward to playing well.

"James should be fine for Origin."

"Every game has got it's own set of circumstances, and both sides haven't been in the winners circle for a while so we're obviously really keen to perform well tomorrow," he added.

"If we perform well, we give ourselves every chance to win the game.

"We've been in the contest over the last few weeks but have just let ourselves down in those key moments, so we're looking forward to getting that right across the 80 minutes."
