Wests Tigers five-eighth Tuimoala Lolohea says an improved showing in defence was the most pleasing thing to come from Sunday’s win over the Gold Coast Titans.

With his combination out on the right edge alongside Elijah Taylor and Esan Marsters continuing to improve with each week, the wiry playmaker said it was pleasing to see the structures and patterns at training start to come together out on the field.

“It gives you a lot of confidence when we play defence like that,” Lolohea said.

“It gives you a lot of confidence with the boys that you play with, and that’s massive for us out on the right edge. We’re a young edge, and we did the job today.

“So that’s a real positive for us to take.”

“I think the biggest thing for us is to make sure we commit to the game plan and to stick to the things we do well,” he continued. “We need to stick at it and keep getting better.

“The Panthers are going to be a tough ask for us next week — they’re a quality team on the edge of the eight — so we’re going to look forward to what that game has for us.”
