Wests Tigers players wrapped up pre-season for 2018 with a Friday night session at Barlow Park ahead of the club's first trial match against North Queensland.
Training in hot and humid conditions exactly 24 hours before the game, Ivan Cleary's side enjoyed a short and sharp session — putting the finishing touches on a four-month pre-season.
Of the 30 players originally named during the week, Cleary has confirmed that experienced Test forwards Elijah Taylor, Ben Matulino, Sauaso Sue and Russell Packer won't feature in the match, while Jacob Liddle and Chris McQueen may also not take to the field as they continue their comebacks from injury.
All players — including Life Member Benji Marshall, who didn't make the trip to Cairns with the squad — are expecting to be available for the club's second trial match next Saturday against Cronulla.
Kickoff for Saturday's trial match against the Cowboys will be from 8:30pm AEST (7:30pm local time), with a live stream available on www.weststigers.com.au for fans to follow along with!
