Wests Tigers are saddened by the news of the passing of former Assistant Coach Steve Folkes.

After playing 269 first-grade games and then having a successful coaching career with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Folkes joined Wests Tigers in 2009 as the club’s Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Following two years in that role with Wests Tigers he was named as an NRL Assistant Coach for the 2011 season. He joined the Dragons the following year as an Assistant Coach before taking up a new position with the Australian women’s team, the Jillaroos, in 2014.

The thoughts of all at Wests Tigers are with the Folkes family during this time.
