It was a weekend of mixed results for Wests Tigers in Round 14 as the NRL side went down in a narrow loss to Cronulla, but both lower grades recorded wins.
Leading 10-2 at half-time, it looked like Ivan Cleary's side were on track for a stirring upset over the home side before the Sharks fought back in the contest to take the lead in the second half.
Wests Tigers threatened to hit back themselves when Tuimoala Lolohea crossed late on to cut the lead to just two points, but a late try to Jesse Ramien ensured that the Sharks would emerge with the two points.
In the Intrust Super Premiership competition, a hat-trick to Braden Robson paved the way for a strong win by the Western Suburbs Magpies over the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles at Leichhardt Oval, before Wests Tigers Jersey Flegg side chalked up their first win of the minute with an incredible last-minute try.
All three grades will be in action this Sunday, June 17 at Campbelltown Sports Stadium for Round 15.
