It was a mixed weekend for Wests Tigers in Round 23 with a last-minute victory by the club's Intrust Super Premiership side the standout highlight from the round.
As he had done the week before against Mounties, Tyson Gamble was the hero with his long-range effort steering Western Suburbs to a late win over the Wyong Roos, while both the NRL and Jersey Flegg sides suffered disappointing defeats to the St. George-Illawarra Dragons and Sydney Roosters respectively.
The club's Physical Disability Rugby League side also went down in their Grand Final game on Saturday, with the South Sydney Rabbitohs scoring a late try to record a thrilling 10-8 win in the end.
Round 24 will see the final week of the Intrust Super Premiership and Jersey Flegg competitions take place, while the NRL side will face Manly at Campbelltown looking to keep their finals hopes alive.
