Wests Tigers five-eighth Benji Marshall has been named the Ktown Man of the Match after steering his side to a thrilling 27-26 win over the North Queensland Cowboys in Golden Point.

Marshall was the man of the moment after slotting the field goal in the 85th minute to give his side the two points — Wests Tigers' first Golden Point win since 2012 when Robbie Farah stepped up to secure a 15-14 win over the Gold Coast Titans.

In front of 11,692 fans at 1300SMILES Stadium, Marshall was at the heart of everything as he finished with 46 running metres, but it was the kicking game that really shone through for the visitors. The 34-year-old racked up 155 metres from his seven kicks, including a forced dropout and a crucial 40/20 early in the contest.

Marshall also held his own in defence with 18 tackles made and just one missed as he now moves in to the New Zealand national camp alongside Coach Michael Maguire, having earned a recall to the Kiwis side for the first time since 2012.
