Wests Tigers 2020 Junior Representative Coaches

Wests Tigers are pleased to announce the Junior Representative Coaches for Balmain and Western Suburbs in 2020.

Ross Mignacca (Harold Matthews) and Scott McKenna (SG Ball) will take charge at the Balmain Tigers while Nathan Lakeman (Harold Matthews) and Brock Shepperd (SG Ball) will lead the way for the Western Suburbs Magpies.

With confirmation of coaches for the Harold Matthews and SG Ball competitions, the club is now in the process of filling support staff roles to ably assist our four Junior Representative coaches.

Wests Tigers would like to wish them the best of luck for the 2020 season, which will begin with trials in September ahead of pre-season in November.

2020 JUNIOR REPRESENTATIVE COACHES

HAROLD MATTHEWS — BALMAIN

Ross Mignacca is returning for his third year in charge of the Harold Matthews team after progressing to the Semi Finals in 2018 and 2019. Ross has been heavily involved with Carlingford Cougars in the Balmain Junior Rugby League for a number of years as well as holding numerous positions in the Balmain Development Program over the years.

HAROLD MATTEWS — WESTERN SUBURBS

Nathan Lakeman is local resident to the Macarthur region, having previously played for the Western Suburbs Magpies in the 1990s. He has been involved with the Group 6 Development program for a number of years as well as coaching at the Camden Rams Club. Most recently Nathan was the Head Coach of the GSR Wests Tigers Andrew Johns Cup that competed earlier in the year.

SG BALL — BALMAIN

Scott McKenna is returning for his second year at the helm of the SG Ball squad after sneaking into the finals in 2019. Scott had previously held a number of positions with Manly’s Junior Rep and Jersey Flegg teams and is currently assisting the Wests Tigers Academy and Jersey Flegg team for their 2019 campaign.

SG BALL — WESTERN SUBURBS

Brock Shepperd returns for his third year as part of the Junior Rep program having previously coached the Harold Matthews squad in 2018 and 2019. Brock is currently in charge of the Rugby League program at Chifley College and has previous experience at the Sydney Roosters and Penrith Panthers pathway programs.
