Wests Tigers Head Coach Michael Maguire has updated his 19-man squad to take on the Newcastle Knights for their Round 19 clash tomorrow night at Beanie for Brain Cancer Stadium.

Kickoff for the match is at 6:00 pm AEST as Wests Tigers look to secure a victory after three straight losses against a Newcastle side on the edge of the top eight.

Maguire has confirmed a change for Friday's game with Jacob Liddle dropping out of the squad to allow for a four-forward interchange bench.

Maguire explained his reasoning for the change in today's press conference.

“I’m really pleased with Jacob," he said.

"I’ve changed the bench a little this week to compensate for a big pack, but Jacob Liddle is going to be a big part of the future and where we’re going."

Liddle's exclusion sees Matt Eisenhuth come on to the bench as a reserve, with Chris McQueen and Tommy Talau included in the travelling squad to Newcastle.

Josh Reynolds has also dropped out of the 21-man squad and will look to make his comeback from injury via the club's Canterbury Cup side on Saturday.

Newcastle remain unchanged for the contest with Jacob Saifiti and Mason Lino retained in the squad as reserves.

Final team lists for both sides will be confirmed at 5:00pm AEST on Friday.
