2019 Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership Season Awards

Wests Tigers Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership players Botille Vette-Welsh and Najvada George have both picked up awards at the club's Presentation Night this evening.

Captain of the side, Vette-Welsh was voted by her teammates as the Players' Player of the Year while George took out the top award for Player of the Year.

Playing in their first season with Wests Tigers, Vette-Welsh and George starred for the club's Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership side during its debut season — falling just short of an incredible Grand Final appearance.

The pair missed just one game between them all year, with Wests Tigers fighting their way to a Grand Final qualifier after finishing the season in sixth position.

Vette-Welsh was also recognised for her achievements throughout the season with selection in the New South Wales women's team against Queensland.

Both Vette-Welsh and George will now feature in the 2019 NRLW Competition for the St. George-Illawarra Dragons, with their opening match this weekend.

Wests Tigers would like to congratulate Botille and Najvada on their awards!
