Wests Tigers have today confirmed the club will face the New Zealand Warriors in a trial match at Rotorua International Stadium on Sunday, March 1 in preparation for the 2020 season.
The trial match marks the second time in a row the club has travelled across the Tasman to face the Warriors in a trial match, having played in Whangarei in 2019.
Kickoff for the match will be at 2:00pm local time (12:00pm AEDT).
With a capacity of 26,000, Rotorua International Stadium has been used for a number of officially international rugby league fixtures previously with the Kangaroos first toppling the Kiwis in 1989 as part of the Trans-Tasman Test series.
New Zealand played a number of fixtures there against Papua New Guinea and Tonga, and most recently defeated the Kumuls during the 2010 Four Nations.
The Warriors have also played a number of trial matches there, with their most recent match coming against the Melbourne Storm back in 2018.
Tickets for the trial match will go on sale in early November.
Wests Tigers will play another trial match in preparation for the 2020 season, with a full trial match schedule for the club's NRL, Canterbury Cup, Jersey Flegg and Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership sides to be confirmed at a later date.
