Cronulla Sharks halfback Chad Townsend is set to be sidelined for the remainder of the regular season after he was cited for a Grade Three Shoulder Charge in his side's Round 17 loss to Newcastle.
Townsend – who was sent off for the incident on Knights fullback Kalyn Ponga — will miss the next three weeks with an early guilty plea.
John Morris' side will also be without captain Wade Graham for the next two matches after he was charged with a Grade Two Dangerous Throw on Knights playmaker Mason Lino — a tackle that also saw Sharks forward Toby Rudolph charged but avoid suspension with a minor role in the incident.
Broncos forward Jordan Riki is looking at a two-week suspension for his crusher tackle on Panthers halfback Nathan Cleary, while Cory Paix and Jamil Hopoate were also both reported by the Match Review Committee from the game.
Knights forward David Klemmer and Storm prop Christian Welch can both avoid suspension from their offences with early guilty pleas.
No Wests Tigers players were charged from their win over the Sea Eagles.
