Wests Tigers to face Roosters in further 2021 preparations

Wests Tigers will face the Sydney Roosters on Saturday, 20th February as the club kicks off its pre-season preparations for the 2021 NRL season.

With an official NRL trial match locked in against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles the following weekend, the opposed session will play an important role in pre-season preparations for Michael Maguire’s side with a number of younger players to feature on the day.

The clash against the Tricolours will cap off a three-game program on the day at Kirkham Oval with the club’s Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership and Jersey Flegg sides also playing trial matches against the Helensburgh Tigers and Canberra Raiders respectively.

Hosted in Wests Tigers heartland at Kirkham Oval, entry is free for all patrons with gates opening at approximately 3:00pm AEDT.

No live stream will be provided by the club on the day with Wests Tigers Members and fans encouraged to head along and cheer on the club’s respective teams.

Capacity on the night is limited to 3,000 due to social distancing restrictions, with patrons to be provided access on a first-in, first-served basis.

Live streams are available on NRL.com and Kayo Sports, with Wests Tigers to post highlights from all three grades later on the weekend.

Team lists for the game will be made available later this week.

For more information or questions about the day, please contact Wests Tigers on (02) 8741 3300 or email membership@weststigers.com.au.
