Wests Tigers will be on the hunt for back-to-back wins for the first time since Round 7 last year when they host the Gold Coast Titans at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Saturday evening.

Having returned to winning ways with a triumph over St George Illawarra at WIN Stadium, Michael Maguire’s men will look to consolidate on last week’s performance when they return home for Tommy Raudonikis OAM Memorial Round.

Wests Tigers were defensively impressive against the Dragons in Round 8 as they conceded just one try in an 80-minute performance — and Maguire will be looking for a replicated effort against the Titans.

Fullback Daine Laurie and five-eighth Adam Doueihi have been impressive for Wests Tigers over the past month and will be two players to keep an eye on this week.

The duo combined for five Dally M points in Round 7 as Laurie recorded 173 running metres, two line-breaks, two try assists and three line-break assists, while Doueihi ran for 142 metres and notched three line-break assists.

This week's match will also be Moses Mbye’s 50th NRL game for Wests Tigers and he'll be eager for a solid performance.

Wests Tigers will be expecting a fired-up Gold Coast side after they surrendered a 22-0 lead to fall to Brisbane last weekend.

The Titans have conceded 112 points in the past three games and will be aiming for their first win in a month when they visit Campbelltown.

Wests Tigers will need to control the damage of Titans forward David Fifita, who has been in devastating form throughout 2021 — with nine tries, nine line-breaks, 19 offloads and an average of 139 running metres across eight appearances.

LATEST TEAM NEWS

Wests Tigers: With Tommy Talau out suspended, Moses Mbye has been named in the centres. Jacob Liddle is the new man on the interchange to cover for Mbye's elevation. Zac Cini enjoyed a fine debut on the wing and has retained his spot.

Titans: Ash Taylor has been ruled out as he battles to return to full fitness after off-season hip surgery. Tanah Boyd will take his place in the starting side. Tino Fa'asuamaleaui's return from a shoulder charge ban is a huge boost for a Titans pack that has been outmuscled in recent weeks. Moeaki Fotuaika drops back to the interchange bench. With winger Corey Thompson set to miss at least eight weeks with a syndesmosis injury, Beau Fermor comes into the centres and Phillip Sami moves on to the wing. New signing Esan Marsters has been named among the reserves and Jaimin Joliffe is on the interchange bench in place of Sam McIntyre.
