Wests Tigers are pleased to announce its 2022 junior representative squads for the upcoming Andrew Johns (U/16), Harold Matthews (U/17), Laurie Daley (U/18) and SG Ball Cup (U/19) competitions.
The club would like to congratulate all players selected in the squads and wish all players, staff and coaches the very best for the upcoming year.
Balmain Tigers
Returning players Keenan Lawandos, Cameron Kanaan and Lipina Ata along will be the key leaders of the Harold Matthews squad with 35 percent of the squad playing a year-young. With over 90 percent of the squad comprising of local juniors, Coach Crotty will have an exciting roster in 2022 with a number of young players ready to make the step up. Over 65 percent of the players in both squads will return from the respective Balmain Harold Matthews and SG Ball teams from 2021. Australian Schoolboys and Townsville junior Dudley Dotoi is one to watch in the U/19's team.

Western Suburbs / Macarthur Wests Tigers
Wests Harold Matthews squad has eight local players returning to play from last year's squad, while several key members of the 2021 Andrew Johns Cup squad (who trained part-time with the Magpies) will be promoted into the squad full-time. 2021 NSW Merit members and local juniors Aaron Keppie and Luke Laulilii also join the squad — making 93% of the Harold Matthews side made up of local juniors.
A number of key members of the 2021 Laurie Daley Cup squad will transition to the 2022 SG Ball squad this year with Queensland signings Keenen Tempest, Herman Tofaeono and Junior Taungatua boosting the team for the new campaign.
Note that players who are 16 years of age in 2022 and play locally (in either Wests Tigers Macarthur or Group 6 JRL) will be considered for selection in both the Wests Harold Matthews and Macarthur Wests Tigers Andrew Johns Cup teams. Players who are 18 years of age in 2022 play locally (in either Wests Tigers Macarthur or Group 6 JRL) will be considered for selection in both the Wests SG Ball and Macarthur Wests Tigers Laurie Daley Cup teams.
