Robbie Farah launches new Wests Tigers podcast

Wests Tigers is thrilled to launch the club's new official podcast, Behind The Roar.

Episode one features an in-depth interview with Assistant Coach and Wests Tigers Life Member, Robbie Farah.

Farah discusses a range of topics in the first episode including his new role under Tim Sheens, how he’s helping Api Koroisau, sinking beers on the Leichhardt scoreboard, his many business interests, his love of Liverpool FC…and a whole lot more.

His story is also a beacon of hope for young players with lofty ambitions.  Unable to make several junior rep sides, and told he ‘was never good enough’, Farah talks about his burning desire to prove the doubters wrong.

Robbie also talks about the man who had the greatest influence on his career, his father’s insistence that he further his education, and that crazy day at Leichhardt when he played his final NRL game.

Behind The Roar (BTR) will drop every Wednesday throughout the season and will be the ‘go to’ place for breaking news, quirky stories, and key issues surrounding the club.

BTR will provide a light-hearted chat with several players from the 2023 Wests Tigers squad and a handful of club icons including the likes of Pat Richards, Chris Lawrence, and John Skandalis.

We’ll also chat to a few of the colourful characters from our foundation clubs, including Benny Elias, Roy Masters, Steve ‘blocker’ Roach, David ‘cement’ Gillespie, Paul Sironen, and others.

Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe says the new podcast will benefit the club on several fronts.

“We’re really excited to launch our new podcast and I’m sure it will develop a strong audience over time,” said Pascoe.

It will provide us with increased digital content in a growing media space, and it will also help us to engage with a younger audience.

“Those benefits aside, we’re in the business of entertainment, so I’m sure every episode will have an element of fun as well.”

Behind the Roar, hosted by Chris Warren, is available on Apple and Spotify.
