Match Report: Jersey Flegg Round 13 vs Dragons

Wests Tigers have fallen to a 32-24 loss in the Jersey Flegg Cup this afternoon, with the Dragons running away with the result in Wollongong.

St George Illawarra’s centre pairing both crossed for early tries before the visitors replied with two four-pointers of their own.

Wests Tigers’ quality short kicking game has been a feature of their play this season, with Lomi Saukuru and Jay Kirk both capitalising to give the away side the lead.

The Dragons were next to score through Ben Rumble, and entered the main break with a two-point advantage.

The Red V started fast in the second stanza, with Kyan Hjaltason and Jackson Shereb extending the Dragons' lead.

Campbell Watchirs collected a second shortly after, before the Tigers attempted to mount a late comeback.

Josh Feledy scored his second try from dummy half in as many weeks, chalking up his seventh try in nine games this season.

Feledy turned provider just a few minutes later, when he put the speedy Zane Camroux over the line.

That was to be the end of the scoring however, with the Dragons emerging with a 32-24 win at Sid Parrish Park.
