Match Report: Jersey Flegg Cup Round 14 vs Sharks

Wests Tigers’ Jersey Flegg Cup team has fallen to a 12-8 defeat in a tough and gritty contest against the Sharks in Cronulla.

Jay Kirk opened the scoring after just four minutes, with the Western Suburbs junior crossing for his sixth try of the Jersey Flegg season.

The score remained 4-0 for the remainder of the first half, with both Wests Tigers and the high-flying Sharks proving extremely resilient in defence.

Josh Feledy broke the deadlock after halftime, as the centre scored his eighth try of the season (the equal-most for centres in the competition).

However, the travelling Tigers were met by two late Cronulla tries, as the home side stole the victory late.

The 67th minute four-pointer to Kobie Wilson was the match-winner, as Niwhai Puru’s two conversions separated the two sides.
