Pathways Preview: Round 26 vs Roosters

Round 26 presents the final games of the season for our senior pathways sides, with both teams looking to end their campaigns on a high on against the Roosters on Sunday.

Jersey Flegg Cup (U/21s)

The additions of Josh Feledy and Brandon Tumeth, who return to Jersey Flegg after a stint in NSW Cup, will prove invaluable to the hopes of Wests Tigers Jersey Flegg Cup side as they take on the ladder-leading Roosters.

Feledy has scored two tries in two games for Wests at NSW Cup level, with his experience in the senior grade likely to hold the 18-year-old in good stead when returning to U/21s-level football.

In their final game of the 2023 season, keep an eye out for fellow teenager Heath Mason, who has impressed at fullback since being elevated to Flegg from Wests SG Ball Cup team.

Knock On Effect NSW Cup

Wests will be hoping to conclude their 2023 campaign with a victory when they face a Roosters side sitting at the bottom of the table.

In a boost for the Magpies, Tommy Talau and Brandon Mansfield both return to the Magpies fold this week, while captain Tom Freebairn shifts from the interchange bench to hooker.

After an impressive start to his NSW Cup career, 18-year-old lock forward Kit Laulilii will look to edge closer to an NRL debut with another strong performance on Sunday.
