Wests Tigers were defeated 22-10 by Many Sea Eagles in Round 12 of the Jersey Flegg Cup at 4 Pines Park, Brookvale.

The home side opened the scoring in the 15th minute when prop Devante Mihinui found the line, his try converted, to give the Sea Eagles a 6-0 lead.

Wests Tigers hit back 10 minutes later with a try to second row Zakauri Clarke before Manly fullback Blake Metcalfe scored five minutes before the break to have the Sea Eagles up 12-4 at half time.

The home team extended their lead to 16-4 early in the second half when winger Kallum Weatherill-Stacey scored, but was unable to convert his own try from wide out.

Five-eighth Iverson Matai then found the line, his try converted by Zak Clarke, to have Wests Tigers trailing 16-10 with 20 minutes remaining.

A penalty goal with about 15 minutes to play gave Manly an 8-point buffer before a second try to Blake Metcalfe put the game all but out of reach.

Next up for Wests Tigers is a match against South Sydney Rabbitohs on Saturday 1st June at Redfern Oval.
