The Western Suburbs Magpies will kick off the weekend of Knock-On Effect NSW Cup action at North Sydney Oval, taking on the Penrith Panthers on Saturday at 12.00pm.
Having strung together impressive back-to-back victories on the road, the Magpies bring plenty of confidence and momentum into their clash with the competition leaders.
Last round’s visit to AAMI Park saw them explode out of the blocks with a try to Fiohiva Fainga’a after three minutes, and the Magpies were well in control at half time at 22-12. They finished strong in the second stanza, crossing the line on three more occasions, with a second to Fainga’a sealing a 38-22 victory.
Logan Brookes shifts from fullback to wing to make way for Jack Attard who returns from HIA protocols.
A shuffle in the forward pack sees Bunty Afoa return at prop, with Lachlan Broederlow moving to lock and Luke Jack shifting to the second row.
Archie Duncombe is an inclusion on the interchange bench, with Max Liles joining Brenden Naicori on the reserves.
