The Western Suburbs Magpies will return to Lidcombe Oval this week when they host the Sydney Roosters for Round 15 of the Knock-On Effect NSW Cup.
Set to kick off at 1.00pm on Sunday, they’ll be looking to bounce back into the winner’s circle after last week’s defeat to the Penrith Panthers.
The Magpies found themselves trailing 12-0 after 18 minutes before wrestling the contest back to a four-point deficit at the break. The Panthers proved too strong in the end, running out 30-16 winners.
Fans this week can keep a close eye on the in-form Solomone Saukuru, who has crossed for seven tries in his last five outings.
Danny Gabrael makes way for Solomone Saukuru to shift into the centres, with Tino Tavana taking his place on the wing.
Ben Stevanovic remains paired in the halves with Javon Andrews, although Andrews lines up as the halfback whilst Stevanovic dons the #6.
Ieti Samuelu is named at lock, with Vaka Aho shifting to the front row.
Tony Sukkar’s NRL call-up makes way for Luke Jack in the back row.
