Jarome Luai to represent Samoa in World Cup

Wests Tigers five-eighth Jarome Luai has been chosen in the 23-man Toa Samoa squad for the IRL Rugby League World Cup 2026.

Luai has played nine World Cup matches for Samoa and sits second behind Junior Paulo (20) for most appearances for his country with 17.

Bound for Parramatta Eels next season before joining PNG, Luai scored five tries in 41 games for Wests Tigers after joining the club in 2025.

The Wests Tigers co-captain scored four tries in 20 appearances in 2026.

Samoa open their campaign against France at CommBank Stadium on Friday 16 October at 5.45pm.
