WARHORSE...Lock Brenden Santi has been one of the shining lights for Wests Tigers in the NYC competition.

Wests Tigers have a strong chance to entrench themselves in the top eight of the NYC competition on Friday night.

Sitting eighth on the ladder through four wins from eight games, Wests Tigers tackle a Cronulla Sharks side who have been well beaten in the past two rounds.

The Sharks sit in 12th place and have won just two of their eight games. Cronulla have had 50 points put on them in each of their last two games.

Wests Tigers head into the match on the back of a thrilling 30-28 victory over Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs last Friday night.

Kick-off is 5.15pm.
