The result was not what we were looking for but we tried our hearts out against the Bulldogs last week.
They are a quality side and were not grand finalists for nothing last year. We tried really hard and if a few of our chances came off early in the first half, who knows what may have happened.
Sure we have a lot of injuries at the moment and people talk about that, but as a player, we put that behind us. We run out with 17 players each week and we give it our all. I just ask Wests Tigers fans to be patient and to keep supporting us. We need you more than ever during this difficult time for the team.
Thats the beauty of rugby league, you get a chance to quickly try to make amends and for us, we get another opportunity this Friday night when we play the Cronulla Sharks at Allianz Stadium. The Sharks have a few ex Wests Tigers players in their side so it will be an interesting match.
It is a game we need to win badly to not only move us up the ladder but to lift our spirits even more. No one has given up and we wont, no matter what happens. The Sharks will take plenty of confidence into the match after their golden point win over Newcastle away last Sunday.
It promises to be an exciting match and one I am really looking forward to. I know we can improve, and we will. No one likes to get beaten by a score like we did last week so Friday night cant come quick enough for me and my team-mates.
It should be a good atmosphere at Allianz Stadium and the club has worked hard in promoting this game.
