Wests Tigers Holden Cup Coach Todd Payten has reinforced the importance of his players not letting their guard down against Cronulla tonight at Sharks Stadium.
Following a strong win over the Storm in wet conditions at Leichhardt Oval last Saturday night, Wests Tigers sit in fifth place with the Sharks on the bottom of the ladder.
It is highly important that we keep our momentum going into next weeks bye, Payten said.
We cannot and I will not let our boys be complacent in any way.
The competition is tightening up and not spreading out. This is the time of year we need to start building momentum as the finish line is in sight once the Origin period and our final bye has been completed.
The boys are fully aware that we have troops returning from suspension and injury over the coming weeks and I will be picking the side on performance and not reputation.
Kick-off is 5.20pm.
