American actor Joe Manganiello could not believe his eyes when Wests Tigers winger David Nofoaluma scored on Monday night.

Im use to seeing touch downs with my Pittsburgh Steelers( gridiron) team but thats incredible. The way he flew through the air. That was spectacular, Manganiello said, cheering from the stands at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

In Sydney for a week of promotions for the Foxtel show, True Blood that he stars in, Manganiello was a special guest of Wests Tigers after learning about his love for the team.

Manganiello is previously best known for his roles opposite Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, and James Franco as Peter Parker's nemesis, "Flash Thompson" in the Spider-Man trilogy. He has also appeared as "Owen Morello" on the past three seasons of hit TV show, One Tree Hill.

The last time Manganiello was in Sydney was in 2005 where he was working as a roadie' for rock band Goldfinger. His 20 hours in Sydney co-incided with Wests Tigers winning the Grand Final. It was why he wanted to return to watch his team in action.

Following the game, Manganiello was taken into the Wests Tigers dressing rooms where he met the players who were more than happy to pose for photos with him.

Wests Tigers are proud to have Joe Manganiello as one of its celebrity supporters and look forward to seeing him the next time he returns to Sydney.
