Mick Potter has exclusively revealed to Wests Tigers Members a key change in the backline for this weekends clash with the Dragons.

Blake Ayshford has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a fractured eye socket, meaning Bodene Thompson will make his return in the centres.

Thompson has missed the past two matches with a quad injury but will make his return this week as the team look to bounce back from a disappointing loss to the Roosters last night.

Potter said while it was disappointing to lose Ayshford, the return of Thompson will be a boost coming up against the 14th placed Dragons.

We are hoping to have Bodene back, weve named him and he was pretty close a couple of weeks ago and had to pull out on game day, Potter said.

Hes a tough character and he doesnt pull out lightly. He has been working really hard to get back.

Its quad injury up near his hip flexor, one of those injuries that is hard to get a gauge on.

Ayshfords injury during last night unfortunately means he has played his last game for the Club after signing with Cronulla for next year.

Another collision injury, we have been quite unlucky with facial, wrist and ankle injuries this year, Potter said.

They are all unavoidable but in a collision sport thats what happens.

Its unfortunate that Blake has to end his career at the Wests Tigers that way and I wish him all the best in the future.

Wests Tigers will take on St George Illawarra on Saturday at the Sydney Cricket Ground, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1963 Grand Final.
