In a replay of last years NYC decider, Wests Tigers face-off with Canberra Raiders today in a blockbuster semi-final at Allianz Stadium.
On the verge of elimination last weekend against Brisbane, a Salesi Funaki try in the 87th minute saved the Wests Tigers season and kept hopes of back to back titles alive.
Canberra Raiders finished the season as minor premiers before going down in a thriller to the Bulldogs 27-26 in a double header of extra-time Holden Cup matches at ANZ Stadium.
The two sides met just once earlier this season, with Wests Tigers halting the Canberra Raiders seven-game winning streak with a 36-24 victory at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.
What makes this NYC semi-final even more exciting is the leagues two top try-scorers going head-to-head. Wests Tigers fullback Kurtis Rowe (26 tries) comes up against Raiders winger Jonathon Rueben (25 tries) as the pair look to add to their already impressive tallies.
