Gates will open on the day at 12:40pm local time for a 3:00pm kick-off in the NRL, but with Channel 9’s telecast not starting until 4:00pm local time, fans wanting to watch the match on TV and not know scores are in a tough position.

The Club understands this and, as such, are making their social media plans for the day known in order to ensure fans  are aware of when news is available.

Facebook — Wests Tigers

Wests Tigers use their Facebook account as their primary tool to communicate information with fans, and understand that with an extensive online fan base, will have many supporters watching the game on delay. As such, their account will not publish the half-time or full-time score of the NRL match until 6:00pm local time.

Scores and updates from their NYC clash earlier on the day as well as any late changes for the NRL squad will be published live, but there will be no posts from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, to allow fans the best possible game-day experience.

Twitter — @Wests_Tigers

Wests Tigers use their Twitter account to provide fans with breaking news and updates, and will continue to do so on the day despite the delay.

Their account will post all scores and results live from all grades, as well as match reports, highlights and interviews when they are available.

Instagram — @nrl_weststigers
