Wests Tigers prop forward James Gavet has today been charged with grade one detrimental conduct by the NRL Match Review Committee following Friday night’s victory over South Sydney.

An early guilty plea will result in Gavet escaping suspension for the incident in the 41st minute of the match at ANZ Stadium.

The base charge for Grade 1 Detrimental Conduct is 125 points, with an early guilty plea reducing it to 93.

Robbie Farah and Tim Simona, who were also placed on report during the game for separate offences, have no case to answer.

Gavet will submit his plea tomorrow morning following a review of the incident.
