Mark O’Neill has been named as second rower in Wests Tigers’ Team of 15 Years.

After making over 100 appearances for the Balmain Tigers between 1994 and 1999, O’Neill was part of Wests Tigers’ first ever team in 2000, and made his Club debut in Round 1 against the Brisbane Broncos.

He would go on to play six full seasons with the Club — culminating in Wests Tigers’ 2005 Grand Final win over the North Queensland Cowboys.

O’Neill also captained the team early in 2005, but after missing several games due to injury, was replaced by Scott Prince as team captain.

The 2005 Grand Final would be his final game for Wests Tigers, as he moved to English Super League to play with Leeds Rhinos in 2006 and Hull KR in 2007.

In total, O’Neill played 121 games for Wests Tigers, scoring 11 tries.
