NYC Late Changes: Moses to start

Wests Tigers have finalised their NYC team to take on the South Sydney Rabbitohs in their elimination final on Friday night at Allianz Stadium, with the late inclusion of Mitchell Moses a huge boost for Andrew Webster’s side tonight.

Moses played several NYC matches to start 2014 before moving up to NSW Cup and eventually NRL — making his debut against the Penrith Panthers in Round 17.

The Holy Cross junior then played the final 10 games of the year for Wests Tigers at an NRL level, where he starred at both fullback and five-eighth. The 19-year-old finished the season with a try and seven try-assists to his name, as well as a man-of the-match award from the Club’s Round 19 victory against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

Moses played both games against the South Sydney Rabbitohs this year in NYC — scoring three tries and four try-assists in the Club’s Round 3 and Round 14 wins.

The NSW U/20’s representative will slot in at fullback tonight, and will look to rekindle his strong partnership with halves Te Maire Martin and Eli Levido.

Moses is joined in tonight’s team by fellow NRL and NSW U/20’s forward Matthew Lodge, who was named as the 2013 NYC Prop of the Year for the Melbourne Storm.
