Wests Tigers would like to congratulate Luke Brooks on being named the 2014 Club Rookie of the Year at today’s Grand Final Luncheon.
Despite playing in his first full season in first-grade, Brooks was one of just eight Wests Tigers players to feature in more than 20 games in 2014 — playing 21 games in total.
The Holy Cross junior played with great maturity and skill throughout the year as he chalked up six tries and 14 try-assists, but it was his ability to produce big plays when his side needed him the most that no doubt impressed many of onlookers.
The halfback finished top-five in the league for turnover tackles as well, and will no doubt be keen to improve on his defence and decision-making in season 2015.
In addition to being named the Club’s Rookie of the Year, Brooks was also named the 2014 Dally M Rookie of the Year as well as the RLPA Rookie of the Year.
Brooks made his debut aged 18 in Round 24, 2013 against St. George-Illawarra Dragons.
