Wests Tigers NSW Cup captain Andy Fiagatusa has praised his side's effort in last night's trial match against the Wentworthville Magpies at Kirkham Oval.

Despite having 10 Holden Cup players in their inexperienced squad for the night, Fiagatusa said his side held their own — particularly in the first half — against a Wenty side containing 13 contracted Parramatta Eels players, and that he was extremely proud of the effort shown right across the park in their opening trial match of the year.

Get Fiagatusa's thoughts on captaining for the first time and more in the video above.
