Wests Tigers winger Pat Richards spoke to the media this morning as his side look to start the season with three consecutive wins for the first time in Club history.

Richards, who scored a try in the Club's 25-16 win over South Sydney when the two teams met in similar circumstances in Round 3 last year, said he was pleased with his side's start to the year, but knows they will need to go up a gear this weekend against the premiers.

"We're happy with where we're at at the moment," he said, "but we know we've got a big test this week. We're just looking forward to the challenge this weekend.

"They're obviously a very good team, so hopefully we can continue to perform."

The 33-year-old winger also commented on his fine form to start the year, currently leading the competition with 47 points, with two tries in each of his two games so far this season.

"It's very exciting as an older guy to come in and play in this team at the moment," he said.

"It's been a good start to the year but the focus is on the challenge this Sunday afternoon."
