For Wests Tigers winger Pat Richards, Saturday's 10th Anniversary of the 2005 Grand Final against the North Queensland Cowboys will be a special moment, and one that he says he still can't believe is actually taking place this weekend.

A member of the 2005 premiership-winning team, Richards is one of just two remaining players from that Grand Final that will take the field on Saturday — alongside stand-in captain Dene Halatau — and said the significance of the occasion still hasn't quite sunk in yet.

"Obviously, 10 years is a long time," reflected Richards. "It was a special time back then and also now be able to celebrate it now 10 years after the game."

"It'll be great to have the guys who were there in 2005 at the game too to cheer us on, but at the same, it's back to business for us and we need to put a good performance in."

"Hopefully we can get some good wins at home and the fans can jump on board that.

"We love hearing their voices out there — it really inspires us and pushes us forward — so hopefully we can get a good crowd this week and start a good run now."

See what Richards had to say in full about this week's game and more in the video above.
